Overview

In the 1920s, Addie K. Atcheson was the secretary of the Home Service Section, Clear Creek County Chapter of the American Red Cross, located in Idaho Springs. Her papers consist of documents detailing the organization’s work and those they served in the area between 1919 and 1927.

Biographical / Historical

Addie K. Atcheson was born in August, 1864 in Ohio. Around 1898, she married John Atcheson Jr., who would become a practicing physician in Idaho Springs. Addie served as the secretary for the Home Service Station, Clear Creek County Chapter of the American Red Cross (located in Idaho Springs) between c. 1919 and 1927. She died on November 1, 1927.
