One binder that includes 56 photographs, 4 clippings/ephemera pieces, and 14 ribbons from Georgetown at the turn of the century. The photographs are particularly significant, as most are unique and have individuals' names labeled, even in group photos. The collection also contains a few views of the city and of buildings. Other significant items include ribbons from sports matches and firemen competitions.

One binder, mainly filled with photographs of various people and groups in Georgetown, between 1885 and 1910.

Biographical / Historical

Carrie Elaine Scott Ellis Wilkins, who went by the nickname Scotty, was born in 1925 in Brookhaven, Mississippi. After graduating from Louisiana Tech University, she spent much of her career as an elementary school teacher, first in Idaho Springs, and then in Denver. She was particularly well known for her community invovlement and volunteer work, obtaining numerous awards from different organizations. In 2014, for example, she received the Lifetime Acheivement Award in Western History from the Denver Posse of the Westerners for 65 years of service. Scotty died in Denver in 2015.
